FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Here you’ll find answers to the most common questions about our thermal therapy courses and services. Whether you’re a prospective student or an existing practitioner, we’re here to provide the information you need.

Qualified Status

Equipment alone doesn’t deliver results – expertise does. This qualification teaches you to understand injuries and inflammation, and to sequence, dose and structure cold and heat therapies into genuine, progressive programmes – the difference between operating a device and running a practice.

Built on 350+ referenced papers and real-world experience with wellness services, physical therapy and elite sports teams, it gives you CPD-accredited status, pricing power and the clinical skill to deliver outcomes your clients actually notice.

Because cold therapy is a clinical skill, not just operating devices. Real results – safe, consistent and effective – depend on understanding physiology, contraindications and how to apply cold therapy correctly, not just running one or two pieces of equipment.

This CPD-accredited qualification gives you that foundation, fast – covering Whole Body Cryotherapy, Localised Cryotherapy and cold compression, built on clinical evidence rather than sales strategies. It’s the quickest, most cost-effective way to become properly qualified, whether you’re an individual practitioner or a business training an entire team.

No. The two types of training are fundamentally different:

Manufacturer-led training primarily covers device specific equipment operation, ensuring safe and effective use, and often includes supporting theory and protocol guidance related to the therapy.

Similar to training as a physical therapist or personal trainer, the Thermal Recovery Specialist qualification is a specialist field of practice where practitioners integrate thermal interventions and evidence-based principles to assess and manage injury, recovery and client needs – delivering elite, individualised care.
