Your equipment isn’t the service. You are.

AdvancedCryo have managed wellness services in some of the best locations in the world, and will continue to do so alongside our work as educators, teaching practitioners and supporting clinics. Across wellness spas and Cryo clinics, the same pattern keeps appearing, and with new trends arriving all the time, it isn’t going to change on its own.

A clinic invests in excellent equipment, opens the doors, promotes the treatments and waits for demand. The team knows how to operate the device, but not what the therapy is actually doing in the body, who it suits, or how to turn a session into an outcome for the client. Demand stalls, results are hard to show and a powerful therapy becomes a passive add-on.

Why this keeps happening

The industry includes many qualified physical therapists, trainers, nutritionists and counsellors, but also many people working in the field without clinical education. Equipment is sold by companies whose training is designed to support a sale. That training teaches you to run a machine safely, which matters, but it isn’t built to develop a practitioner. As a result, much of the industry lacks a clear understanding of the clinical fundamentals:

  • Injury management, and how it shapes what is appropriate and when.
  • The different forms of inflammation, and why it shouldn’t always be suppressed.
  • What longevity actually means. It isn’t a buzzword like “optimising” health.

On that last point, longevity management is about healthy behaviours, physical capacity and independence, not passive therapies and short-term symptom relief. Each goal needs a wider approach. Therapies support the work, they don’t replace it.

A response is not an outcome

A client may feel better, move more freely or show a change in HRV or noradrenaline after a session. Those are physiological responses, and they are not the same as a lasting health benefit. The skill is knowing what response has occurred, what it means and how to use it to progress the client towards their goal.

What successful clinics do

The clinics that excel with wellness therapies don’t rely on equipment marketing. They:

  • Build skills across their team, such as strength and conditioning, movement and rehabilitation knowledge, nutrition awareness, mental health awareness, medical screening and client management, with clear referral pathways to doctors and other health professionals.
  • Assess each client and choose the therapy for a reason.
  • Place therapy inside a wider plan for recovery, wellness, injury or longevity goals. They don’t simply exchange access to equipment for money, or bundle a group of therapies and market it as a “daily protocol” to improve recovery or longevity.
  • Measure progress and reassess. If you’re not tracking progress, you’re not managing clients.

Why we built AdvancedCryo

We began in Cryotherapy right at the very beginning, studying the science, building knowledge and developing clinical practice. Over more than a decade, we’ve worked across wellness and fitness disciplines, managing wellness services at leading private clubs and working with elite athletes and sports teams.

We built our education to give wellness businesses what the equipment doesn’t: key physiology, how to manage clients for wellness, injury, recovery and longevity goals, and how to turn a physiological response into an outcome. Without that knowledge, a service is limited and the therapy never reaches its potential. With it, you can practise with confidence, grounded in evidence and developed by people who have worked in elite settings.

It has become clear that this education is essential for the industry, and we’ve worked hard to help raise its standards.

Device operation is not professional education. Recovery Specialist education changes how you practise.
